Terms of Participation

Last updated: September 2, 2026

This document is not finished. The commercial terms of The Wisdom of Sedona — price, booking, payment, cancellation and refunds — have not been settled yet, and nothing has been invented in their place. Every clause that is still open is highlighted like this.

No booking can be taken and no money can be accepted until those clauses are completed and reviewed by a lawyer in the organiser's jurisdiction.

1. Who we are

OrganiserAmrita essence LLC, a Florida limited liability company

“We”, “us” and “the Organiser” mean the party named above. “You” and “the Participant” mean the adult who books a place on the retreat.

2. What these terms cover

These terms govern your participation in the retreat described below. They will apply from the moment you book a place, once booking opens. Reading this page today does not create any obligation on either side.

Consumers resident in the European Union should note that the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal from a distance contract does not apply to leisure services provided on a specific date — Art. 16(l) of Directive 2011/83/EU. How that interacts with the final cancellation terms: [TO BE CONFIRMED WITH A LAWYER].

If the Organiser cancels

If we cancel the retreat for any reason other than the circumstances in § 11, you will receive a full refund of what you have paid. Costs you have incurred independently — flights, visas, other arrangements — are not reimbursed, which is why we strongly recommend travel insurance that covers cancellation.

8. Your responsibilities

  • arrange your own flights and any visa, and satisfy yourself that you may enter the United States;
  • take out medical insurance for the whole period of the trip; insurance covering cancellation is strongly recommended;
  • tell us truthfully about your health (see § 9);
  • follow the programme, the guide's instructions and basic safety rules on the trails;
  • respect the privacy of other participants: photographing or publishing images of other people without their agreement is not acceptable;
  • do not take part in any practice while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

In the case of serious breach of these rules, or behaviour that endangers the group, we may end your participation. The financial consequences of that: [TO BE CONFIRMED — depends on the refund policy in § 7].

9. Health and contraindications

The retreat involves physical and breathing practices, time walking on desert trails, and a Sweat Lodge ceremony conducted in prolonged heat and steam. That places real requirements on your state of health.

9.1. Your duty to tell us

Before the retreat begins you must tell us in writing about illnesses, injuries, allergies, pregnancy and any medication you take. We need this only for safety, and it is deleted after the retreat — see the Privacy Policy.

9.2. Conditions that require medical advice first

Breathwork and intensive work with the body are contraindicated, or require your doctor's clearance in advance, in the following cases:

  • pregnancy;
  • cardiovascular disease, hypertension, previous heart attack or stroke;
  • epilepsy and seizure disorders;
  • glaucoma, retinal detachment;
  • aneurysm;
  • severe psychiatric conditions, psychosis, bipolar disorder in an acute phase;
  • recent surgery or fractures;
  • severe asthma;
  • use of psychotropic medication.

This list is not exhaustive. If you have a chronic condition, have had surgery recently, or take medication regularly, speak to your doctor before booking.

9.3. The Sweat Lodge

The Sweat Lodge is conducted in prolonged heat and steam, and heat stress is a real risk. Participation is not advised during pregnancy, or with cardiovascular disease, high or low blood pressure, epilepsy, or any condition affected by heat or dehydration, without clearance from your doctor.

Participation is voluntary and you may leave the lodge at any time, for any reason and without explanation. Alcohol, and dehydration from any cause, materially increase the risk.

9.4. The practices are not medical treatment

The practices on this retreat are wellbeing and personal-development practices. They are not medical care, psychotherapy or treatment and they do not replace treatment prescribed by a doctor. We do not diagnose and we do not withdraw anyone's prescriptions. Any decision to stop medical treatment on the basis of what happens on the retreat is yours alone.

9.5. Our right to withhold a practice

We may decide not to admit you to an individual practice if your condition creates a risk to you or to the group. The price is not recalculated in that case.

10. Changes to the programme

The published programme reflects our intention; it is not a fixed timetable. Weather, road conditions, trail closures and decisions by the authorities that manage the land can require locations or the order of practices to change.

We may change the content of the programme while preserving its overall meaning, its duration and its level. Changes of that kind are not a failure to perform and do not give rise to a refund.

11. Circumstances beyond our control

We are not liable for failure to perform caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control: wildfire and evacuation, flash flooding, natural disasters, closure of areas by the authorities, epidemics, acts of war, cancelled flights or refusal of a visa.

What happens in that case — postponement to new dates, or a refund, and on what basis: [FORCE MAJEURE REMEDY — to be confirmed; it depends on which costs are non-recoverable].

12. What we do not guarantee

A retreat is a space for inner work, not a service with a measurable output. We do not guarantee any particular psychological, spiritual, physical or life change. Each person's experience is their own and depends on how they engage with it.

Anything other participants say about their experience reflects that experience alone and is not a promise of a comparable result.

13. Liability

You understand that hiking, breathwork and bodywork carry a risk of injury, and you take part voluntarily and at your own risk.

Our liability is in any event limited to the amount you have paid for your participation. We are not liable for indirect loss, including lost profit and the cost of flights.

Nothing in this section limits liability for death or personal injury caused by intent or gross negligence, or any other liability that applicable law does not permit to be limited.

14. Intellectual property

Retreat materials, texts and audio recordings of practices belong to the Organiser and are provided for your personal use. Commercial use and redistribution without written permission are not permitted.

15. Personal data

Processing is governed by the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

16. Governing law and disputes

Governing law: the laws of the State of Florida, USA — proposed, awaiting confirmation by a lawyer. We will try to resolve any disagreement by correspondence first. Disputes that cannot be resolved that way will be heard in the state or federal courts of Miami-Dade County, Florida — proposed, awaiting confirmation.

Nothing here limits the consumer rights guaranteed to you by the mandatory law of the country where you live.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version in force at the time you book will be the version that applies to your booking.

If any provision is held to be invalid, the rest remain in force.
